Why does the charger become warm when charging the battery?

When you charge a battery, the charger converts wall outlet electricity into the right voltage and current for the device, which creates heat. Some warmth is normal, but excessive heat could mean overloading, incompatibility, or a faulty charger.


Is it safe to charge the battery unattended?

The RideBox charger is intelligently designed to automatically stop charging once the battery reaches 100% capacity. 


Does the battery explode?

The RideBox is engineered with multiple safety features to ensure its safe operation. While the risk of an explosion is extremely low due to these protective measures, the worst-case scenario in the unlikely event of a malfunction is the release of smoke


How long does it take to fully charge the battery?

The RideBox battery requires 4-6 hours to achieve a full charge using the charger that came with the unit.


What is the battery life expectancy?

The battery life expectancy is up to 8 years. However, utilizing our battery swapping stations eliminates any worries about battery life. NRD guarantees that all batteries in our lockers are consistently maintained in excellent health, ensuring you always have access to reliable and high-performing power sources.


How do I dispose of the old battery?

If the RideBox battery of your motorcycle has degraded or isn't functioning as expected, bring it to the NRD Service Center.


What is the required voltage and power for charging the battery?

Yes, you can easily charge your NRD battery at home using the NRD charger that comes with your motorcycle. Just ensure you connect the charger to a 20V power outlet for efficient charging


How do I maintain the battery health?

How do I extend the battery life?

To maintain the health of your RideBox battery, it is recommended to:


  • Only use RideBox Battery chargers or swap at RideBox Lockers.  
  • Avoid deep discharges; recharge the Battery before the power gets too low. 
  • Keep the Battery clean and dry. Do not charge in wet or damp conditions.
  • Store the Battery in a cool, dry place and disconnect the Motorcycle connector when not in use for extended periods
